London is home to some of the best beer on the planet!

Anderson Craft Ales, located on Elias Street, has recently snagged the top honors at the prestigious World Beer Festival, winning the coveted title of Best Cream Ale in the World.

Gavin Anderson, the proud owner, beamed with pride as he toasted with his award-winning cream ale. It's no stranger to acclaim, already taking home a gold medal in Canada and nabbing the title of the best cream ale in the country.

Held in Norwich, England, this year’s World Beer Awards drew international attention. Anderson Craft Ales’ cream ale stood out in the fierce competition, taking the gold in the pale beers category. Gavin Anderson describes it as a beer that's not too heavy but packed with character and easy drinkability.

Alongside its global accolades, the cream ale has consistently shone in Canada, with five Canadian brewing awards under its belt. It also clinched a silver medal at the U.S. Open Beer Championship, proving its dominance beyond borders.

Scott Simmons, President of the Ontario Craft Brewers Association, expressed his excitement over the win. He highlighted the craftsmanship and dedication behind every ale brewed by the Anderson Craft Ales team.

Anderson Craft Ales isn’t just about their globally acclaimed cream ale. They offer a diverse range of core beers like IPA, gold lager, and an amber. Every season, you can look forward to special brews, be it a refreshing summer pilsner or a delightful marzen in the fall.

Since opening its doors in 2016, Anderson Craft Ales has won numerous awards, including seven national, six provincial, and two international brewing awards. They’ve also bagged the title of best in London for six consecutive years.

The brewery, with a dedicated staff of 24, churns out about 450,000 cans of cream ale annually. In total, they produce over 1.5 million cans of various beers each year, with their primary market in Southwestern Ontario.

A special mention goes to other Canadian breweries that clinched prizes in different categories. Unibroue, in Chambly, Quebec, won for their Belgian-style blonde, and Les Voix Maltées, from the Saguenay region, showcased their bitter beer.

Gavin Anderson believes the real star of the show is his team. He credits their passion and dedication to crafting quality beers that bring home the titles. From stouts and dark lagers to sours and ambers, Anderson Craft Ales is a brewing powerhouse.
