The Forest City Sport and Social Club has exploded in popularity since its founding 15 years ago. What started with just 220 people across three sports has mushroomed into a vibrant community of around 4,600 Londoners participating each week this summer.

David Ward, the club's director, attributes this growth to London's rapidly growing population. The club offers a variety of co-ed recreational sport leagues and social activities, providing Londoners with a lively way to meet new people and stay active. The club's most potent secret weapon? All about sport and socializing. Members often rave about the lifelong friendships and even marriages that have blossomed from their participation.

Wondering what sports you can dive into? The club boasts more than 30 different leagues available throughout the year. Fall outdoor leagues include beach volleyball, flag football, and ultimate frisbee, designed for short, six-to-seven-week seasons. Indoor activities like badminton, dodgeball, and pickleball span the entire season, offering a longer commitment for enthusiasts.

If you're totally new to sports, the Club’s rookie leagues are your best bet. Designed for absolute beginners, these leagues offer guidance on the basics and a golden opportunity to connect with fellow newcomers. This fall, rookie leagues will cover volleyball, pickleball, basketball, curling, soccer, and floor hockey. If you've always eyed a sport but never felt brave enough to try, now's your chance!

Exciting new options are also on the horizon. Enter the cornhole league, a fall debut aimed to tap into the rising appeal of the bag-tossing game. This nine-week league will host weekly events at Game Knight Leagues, a gaming venue loaded with fun. For those looking for a new type of workout, there's also a trampoline fitness class in collaboration with The Factory, London's premier indoor entertainment center.

The deadline to register for fall leagues is September 3rd (midnight) for outdoor activities and September 10th (midnight) for indoor leagues. Fees vary depending on the league, and you can snag all the details and sign up online—so mark your calendars!
