Eagle's Nest Preschool Expands to New Home in Toledo

Toledo, Ohio – With the start of a new school year, many parents are in search of quality education programs for their little ones. Toledo Christian’s Eagle’s Nest program has made an exciting move to a new building, broadening its capacity to welcome more students and families into its fold.

The new home for Eagle’s Nest is located at the corner of Copland Boulevard and the Anthony Wayne Trail in the previously Zion United Methodist Church. According to Heather Taylor, Eagle’s Nest director, the previous space at Toledo Christian was bursting at the seams, accommodating just under 50 families in what was described as ‘packed’ rooms.

The move was prompted by their rapidly growing space needs and the inability to accommodate additional children. The new setting, with its spacious facilities, ensures children have plenty of room to learn and play—a crucial element missing from their previous cramped quarters.

In its new location, the Eagle’s Nest program can now support around 90 children once the school year is in full flow. Kristen Barlage, a parent with two kids enrolled in the program, expressed her excitement, noting the joy of watching her children make new friends and thrive in a thoughtfully designed learning environment.

Taylor emphasized the immense need for preschools, highlighting the importance of early education. With 85% of brain development completed by age five, the need for a conducive learning environment cannot be overstated. Eagle’s Nest’s philosophy, ‘Play, Learn and Grow Together,’ is now better supported thanks to the ample space and improved facilities at the new location.

The expansion is not merely about accommodating more children but also about providing a better framework for holistic growth. Children can now freely move and explore, aligning with their natural needs rather than being confined to limited space in small classrooms.
