Sheetz Announces Six New Locations and Hiring Spree in Toledo

Exciting news for Toledo! Sheetz, the popular gas station and convenience store chain, is making a big move into northwest Ohio. The chain has announced plans to open six new locations in the Toledo area, bringing their unique blend of fuel services and made-to-order food to a whole new audience.

If you've been on the hunt for a new job, you're in luck. Sheetz is looking to hire up to 60 employees for their first two stores in the area, located at 1150 Clinic Dr. in Maumee and 6633 Dorr St. in Toledo. These stores are set to open this fall, and Sheetz is holding a hiring event next week to find the perfect candidates.

The event will take place on August 13 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Tollgate Drive in Maumee. Prospective employees are encouraged to RSVP ahead of the event to secure their spot and get ready to join the Sheetz family.

But that's not all. Sheetz plans to open additional Toledo-area locations at the following addresses: 6048 US-20 in Toledo, 2760 Navarre Avenue in Oregon, 3955 N McCord Road in Sylvania, and 1391 Arrowhead Drive in Maumee. While the exact timing isn't yet set in stone, these new spots are expected to open later this year and into 2025.

Sheetz has long been a favorite for its convenient one-stop shopping experience that combines fuel services with a full-service restaurant. With over 720 stores currently in operation, including 94 in Ohio, the chain's expansion into Toledo is just the latest step in its growth across western Ohio and into Michigan.

Interestingly, Sheetz is also constructing a new $145 million facility in Findlay. This massive project will create more than 700 jobs over the next five years and will house additional food preparation and distribution functions as the company continues to expand its footprint.

Sheetz's hiring process is straightforward and mobile-friendly. Applicants can submit their resumes online or fill out the application as they go. Once the application is received, candidates will typically hear back within 3-5 business days. The process includes assessments (if required), interviews, and background screenings before final job offers are made.
