Get excited, Toledo! The University of Toledo Mobile Health Unit is making healthcare more accessible by partnering with the Toledo Library. This means free health services at multiple library locations around the city.
According to a press release from the library, the mobile unit isn’t just basic—it features a waiting room, two exam rooms, and even a restroom. Talk about convenience and comfort!
You might be wondering about cost and paperwork. Well, here’s some great news: All services are completely free of charge. While ID and insurance info are appreciated, they aren’t required. So, nobody has to stress about healthcare just because they forgot their wallet at home.
TLCPL Executive Director, Jason Kucsma, shares in the excitement: 'We are excited to bring this resource directly to the communities that need it most, without any barriers to access.' Yes, accessibility for all is the mantra here.
For those of you planning to visit, here’s the schedule: You can catch the mobile unit on the First and Third Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sanger Branch. If Monday isn’t your day, how about First and Third Tuesdays or Wednesdays? You’ll find them at the Heatherdowns Branch and Mott Branch, respectively.
Wait, there's more! Mark your calendar for the Second and Fourth Mondays at the Kent Branch, and Second and Fourth Wednesdays at the Holland Branch. Timing is everything, so make sure you note these dates and locations.
This collaboration is a fantastic initiative to ensure that no one in Toledo misses out on essential healthcare services. So, spread the word, and let’s make sure everyone in our community can access these incredible free services.
